The trustees of the Beechwood association met at seven o’clock on February 17th at the Richardson’s residence. Attending were: Roman Warmke, Brad Jokish, Dick Schelat, Phil Richardson, and Joyce Richardson.
Discussion: Roman Warmke went to the county commissioners meeting and found out that we were not under the jurisdiction of the county. Then, undeterred, Roman went to the township meeting, and argued for guard rails. The trustees agreed that two places are possible. They are hopeful that they can do it. No guarantees. We will get a call.
Route 50 is being improved for safety reasons. Bob’s has an office for the improvements on the intersection. The county commissioners have a website.
Discussion: septic tanks and the possibility of sewers. In the future, the residents of Beechwood might be required to be part of a septic system. The upside of that would be a nicer-smelling neighborhood.
Roman brought maps of the area and shared them with the trustees, circa 1985.
It was the consensus that snow removal went well this year, in an especially difficult winter. Phil Richardson offered to write a thank you letter to the township trustees and staff.
The lake looks good, the attendees agreed. But sign needs changing. Roman will purchase Beechwood signs for the entrance and the lake. Solar lights would enhance the Beechwood entrance.
Also under discussion: Spring cleanup, and spring picnic. Brad will look at dates for the picnic, the 22nd perhaps?
Looking forward to spring brought smiles all around. The meeting was adjourned.
Sincerely,
Joyce Richardson, secretary.
