The Beechwood trustees meeting was held Dec. 10, 2010. Those present were Brad Jokish, Roman Warmke, Phil Richardson, and Joyce Richardson.

Next Meeting is Thursday, 2/17.

As to the Financial report, the balance as of December 6, 2010, is $1448. The main expenditure was the Electric Company to pay for streetlights. By spring the association should be five hundred dollars better than last year.

It was agreed that the picnic was a good time for all. The food was excellent; the attendance good, and the boatrides were fun. .

Further discussions were about encroaching hunters and guard rails. Homeowners should be especially vigilant during deer hunting season. Roman agreed to contact the board of trustees about installing guard rails. This is a safety issue, and the guard rails are important. The Beechwood Association will try again to request the guard rails from the trustees. Roman also wanted to know what is happening with the entrance to Bob’s.

At the next meeting the Beechwood officers will discuss spring things and spring projects. Perhaps we could have a cleanup day when the weather turns warm. Projects might include emptying the garbage, clearing the paths, and stacking the wood. The association is quite appreciative of efforts by Mr. Grippa to keep up with the mowing.

A discussion of Christmas houses brought forth the idea that maybe the association should give an award for the best decorated house. The idea was tabled for this year.

Further discussions involved septic tanks, power outage information, and the possibility of sending an informative e-mail to the members about these issues.

There was also a discussion about creating a Beechwood sign and installing solar lights.

The Beechwood trustees agreed that their first priority for the safety of the Beechwood residents was to see about installing guardrails. Roman agreed to do his best.

The meeting was adjourned. Joyce Richardson, secretary

Hi Beechwood –

Your trustees are working hand in hand w/ the Township to install Guard Rails in Beechwood in an effort to increase public safety. We asked for 3 to be installed, one was out right rejected (#3 below) but the other two are under consideration and we should have an answer next week. You will see some poles w/ tape on them, these are intended for the crew to come back and do one last measurement. More soon.
